Emily was born in San Diego, CA, just four days after Christmas. She grew up in East County, graduating from Grossmont High School in 2001. She attended Point Loma Nazarene University in San Diego, CA for four years and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in journalism in 2005.

Emily did an intensive, month-long screenwriting program in the summer of 2006 in Los Angeles, CA. She was back in San Diego for a year, but moved permanently to Los Angeles in June 2007.

She currently works at a major motion picture studio, and pretty much spends the rest of her time getting to know God and his community at Christian Assembly Eagle Rock.
