Our last day in Tokyo we visited a Buddhist temple. These papers symbolize bad luck, and people tie them here so that the bad luck will be prayed away. I didn’t gamble with luck, but I did go shopping! (Most Shinto shrines and Buddhist temples are also big tourist attractions and a popular place to set up shop.)
