Apologies for not writing very much last month. I was quite busy, either out of town every weekend or hosting people at my place. I loved seeing everyone, but I’m looking forward to just being home for a while.
And apologies for not writing very much now. See, I’ve signed my soul to a thing called Script Frenzy. I’ve agreed to write 100 pages of script in just 30 days. This being day two of the frenzy, I’m doing okay. Not behind, but not really ahead either.
My biggest problem? I need a plot. I have characters, I have scenes, but I have no plot. My mother suggested I just steal a plot (her justification being that Shakespeare did it and poets do it all the time), but I dunno.
I think that instead of stealing a plot, I should just ask for one.
So does anyone have a plot I can use? It doesn’t have to be complex or anything, just something that moves to a conclusion.
And regarding plot, my little brother Cameron said something to me that I think is just hilarious. He asked me if I knew what a tricorder was (which, duh, of course I do – it’s a electronical thing used quite often on Star Trek). He answered his own question by saying a tricorder is a plot mover. If you’ve ever seen a Star Trek movie or episode, you know what I’m talking about. Every single time one of those things is turned on, it always picks up a reading that causes all characters to change what they were originally doing. Thus, a plot mover.
So yeah, anyone got a plot for me?
Not to mention that the tricorders can read ANYTHING IN THE UNIVERSE. Seriously, it can even pick up new elements and things that starfleet has never encountered…
