Today a new sun rises for me; everything lives, everything is animated, everything seems to speak to me of my passion, everything invites me to cherish it.

- Anne de Lenclos

Things I learned today (okay, technically yesterday):

  1. Girls aren’t very good at intramural softball; hungover guys, however, are.
  2. Driving down the wrong side of the street into oncoming traffic, even if only for a few feet, scares people (sorry, Chris!).
  3. Wheelchairs should not be used for flying.
  4. It is possible to have a dance party while riding the Space Mountain ride at Disneyland (thanks, Chris!).
  5. A cruise in the jungle is only fun once; after that, it just becomes rote.
  6. Daylight savings time does not actually happen at midnight (it happens, I believe, around 2:00 a.m.).
  7. Disneyland is a really romantic place; even if you’ve been having fun all day with friends and family, at the end of the fireworks show… you really just want to have your own special someone with you.

There, that’s all I’ve got for today.  Enjoy your extra hour of sleep – I know I will!

  1. The jungle cruise can be fun more than once, but only if you say the punchlines to all the bad jokes before the cast member has a chance to say them. Then laugh hysterically. They kick you off the ride if you do it multiple times, though.

  2. So THAT’s what you and Chris were doing back there during Space Mountain :P

And just so you know, Jungle Cruise IS fun more than once, especially when you know the guy giving the tours. ;)

  3. I liked how during one of the five times we went on it I shouted out the answer to how you can tell male and female zebras apart. The guy looked hurt that I ruined his joke, but then he realized that he DID ask the boat if we knew how to tell the males from the female…

  4. Well, okay – how do you tell male and female zebras apart?
