So, did y’all watch “Chuck” last night? You did? Oh sweet! Wait, what? One of you missed it? Well… that’s pretty inexcusable, but lucky for you…
The series premiere, aka the pilot episode, is going to air again on NBC this Saturday! So check your local listings and watch it! It’s going to be on at 9pm here, if that helps any of you.
And if you DID see the pilot episode (yay!), then this is a great chance to get all of your friends to watch it too!
Sorry if this seems like such a shameless promotion of the show, but really, it’s just so good!
Plus, today I got to go inside one of their soundstages and see the set for the apartment complext that Chuck, Ellie, and Captain Awesome (he stole my name!) live in. It’s an amazing set and I can’t wait to see it in future episodes.
Oh, and a certain unnamed genre film by Paramount started filming on our lot today (they’re filming in stage 16, the tallest sound stage in North America). Pretty exciting stuff, as big wigs like Spielberg, Ford, and LaBeouf were sighted in the vicinity of the stage today.
Yup, even I saw one of them. I was on my last tour of the day and we were driving past stage 16 and I was giving my spiel… and there was Shia LeBeouf, just chillin’ outside the stage, chatting with another actor (someone I didn’t recognize).
I was so shocked (and excited) to actually see him in the flesh that I lost my train of thought and had to literally shake myself before I could move on. And it wasn’t that it was Shia (though I was definitely excited about it), but the fact that he was just sitting there – in plain view!
Understand this: they have been working on the set of that “untitled genre picture” for the past two months, and we (us tour guides) haven’t been able to breathe a single word about it (even though we’ve LONG known the film that was going to film there) for fear of something leaking out. Even today, the call sheets (papers that list call times and who is going to be where) are all coded and no real names are mentioned.
So to see Shia just sitting out, in plain view… well, I thought everyone was going to be all in disguises and rushed from stage to trailer and that kind of stuff.
It was very fun to see just a little bit of proof that the fourth installment of the Indiana Jones movies is indeed being filmed on our lot.
I probably wouldn’t have watched “Chuck” if you hadn’t so shamelessly promoted it, but since you insisted, I did watch. And I’m really glad I did. I quite enjoyed it and plan to watch subsequent episodes. Also, I see why you are now in love with Zachary Levi. He’s a cutie!

Hah, I missed it on Monday night, but I caught it online at nbc.com. It’s a good pilot, with only a few weak spots. I can identify with Chuck in all his nerdy humor and awkwardness which makes it all the more enjoyable.
I liked the song while they were talking on the beach. It’s A Comet Appears by the The Shins. Great feel.
There are quite a few networks that do online replays of their top shows. Sara and I watched the premiere of Back to You on fox.com. It’s a good way of catching up if you can’t make it at air time and don’t have a TiVo.

Loved loved loved it. Of course, I saw it last week on Comcast (On Demand is sooo cool – I saw all the good premieres so I can watch Ken Burns’ The War on PBS. I know, insufferable nerd). But it was great. Really great. Be shameless, promote away, and try to steal Indy’s hat for me.

I will have to watch “Chuck” on Saturday — sorry I missed it! Do you forgive me?
My kids have been drooling about the new Indiana Jones film … they’re going to be very jealous that you are on set.
