Today a new sun rises for me; everything lives, everything is animated, everything seems to speak to me of my passion, everything invites me to cherish it.

I got two flat tires tonight.

One tire went flat when I was in the fast lane, about a mile from a freeway interchange.

The other tire, my spare, went flat the minute there was weight on it.

Thank God my cousins live in town and love me enough to call AAA for me.

I’m exhausted.

  1. The same thing happened to me just over a year ago. The spare went flat as soon as it was on the car. I tried to add air, but I could feel it blowing out the back of the tire. It turns out that that kind of spare has a valve that stays open when the weight of the car is on it. I had just needed to jack up the car in order to inflate the tire. However, I didn’t find that out until after I had had it towed to Visalia.
