Emily Belsey

Writer Extraordinaire

Today a new sun rises for me; everything lives, everything is animated, everything seems to speak to me of my passion, everything invites me to cherish it.

- Anne de Lenclos

So I was thinking… say I woke up one morning and couldn’t write anymore. Well, physically I could still write, but I could no longer write witty dialogue, haunting moments, or arresting loglines. What would I do then? What kind of career would I pursue? Here’s what I came up with. Let me know if you have any other ideas. I think I could do pretty much anything. Except act. I don’t think I could do that.

The List:

  • chef – I love to cook and even took a class in college.
  • CIA operative – I’m very, very sneaky
  • DJ – I got mad spinning skills. Well, okay, I make good mixes.
  • dancer – Have you seen me salsa?
  • ambassador’s wife – Yes, it’s a career. At least, I’d make it one.
  • flight attendant

Well, I know I have more careers on a list at home.  I’ll have to update this post when I find that list.  In the meantime, what thinkest thou?
